Vibrant botanicals, unique gardens, and dazzling displays of Disney character topiaries greet the visitor at the entrance and throughout Epcot theme park during the annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Presented by HGTV, the popular home and garden decorating channel, the festival is held March 7 through May 20, 2012, and in addition to displays, visitors can enjoy special events and concerts.

Feast your eyes on over 100 topiaries on display throughout Epcot, here Beauty and the Beast, there Mickey Mouse, and is that Donald Duck? Favorites will be returning in 2012, like GoGo on the Go Challenge, the Pixie Hollow Fairy Garden, and the Bee Scavenger Hunt. A kids’ favorite, the Bambi’s Butterfly House, is expanding and moving to a new location at Imagination Walkway near Innovations West, and kids 2 and up can take a break at the nearby Let’s Get Moving play structures. Returning is the “lift and sniff” at the Fragrance Garden over at France Pavilion.

This year’s festival will also share some new displays, such as Kid Garden (official name to be determined), presented by Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association

In addition, enjoy special kids’ activities or gardening workshops.  Sit back and listen to the Flower Power Concert Series.

Another addition to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is several presentations by HGTV stars at the Designers Stage on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at noon and 3 p.m.  But anytime you visit the Festival, you’ll find Disney horticulturists and garden experts again be sharing tips and secrets for your gardens at home.

The weekends are also hopping with the sounds of music, when the Epcot International Flower & Garden festival presents the Flower Power concert series. Dance in the streets to the music of the 1960s and '70s, like The Guess Who, The Spinners, Paul Revere & The Raiders and others.
